the socket. This is to prevent accidental spillage of water traveling along the lead and reaching the socket
(fig. 1 DRIP LOOP).
10) WARNING: the symbol
indicates that the pump can only be used indoor.
11) We recommend that all electrical aquarium equipment should be connected to a grounded circuit
breaker with a 30mA fuse.
12) ATTENTION: (Fig. 2). This appliance uses especially powerful magnets, lodged inside the pump
supports (see part 2 fig.22). The magnetic field they produce can cause malfunctioning or electronic
/mechanical damage to other appliances in case they are too close to this product. For this reason it is
recommended to keep a distance at least 30 cm between magnets and pace makers, credit cards, cash
cards, magnetic keys or others (check on the instruction manuals of the relevant appliances). In order to
reduce the risk of squeezing, pay attention during installation, maintenance and cleaning of the pump.
Additionally, keep the magnets at a distance of at least 10 cm from any surface or metallic object, and
30 cm from each other, to avoid sudden magnetic pull.
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!
INSTALLATION - DIRECTIONS FOR USE: NEWA Wave must be completely submersed to function correctly.
The powerful magnet allows a safe anchoring of the pump to the tank walls; the ball joint and the fixation
nut allow to rotate the pump and to fix it on the desired position. Separate the magnets by operating on
the proper grips placed along the ridges, paying maximum attention to avoid squeezing your fingers. Keep
the magnets at a distance of at least 30 cm from each other . Screw the pump to the magnetic support nut
(fig 3), without blocking it completely. In the model NWA 1900 Adj the locking takes place through pressure.
Place the pump on the desired position inside the aquarium and below water surface, making sure you have
properly cleaned the glass before. Lay the other half of the magnet (the one with logo) on the outer glass of
the tank and at a distance of some centimetres from the point where you are keeping the magnet inside the
tank where you previously fixed the pump (fig 4). Drag the outer magnet (the one with logo) until it perfectly
overlies to the other half of the internal magnet. Turn the pump to the desired direction and tighten the nut
(Fig. 5). Insert the power cord in the cord-lead (Fig. 6).
AdjUSTMENT: In the NWA 1900 Adj model it is possible to modify water flow as required, by moving
the adjustment ring (Fig. 7).
MAINTENANCE: Regular maintenance guarantees maximum performance of the pump: it is
recommended to periodically clean the internal parts with a brush and lukewarm water. Any scale can
be removed with vinegar or lemon juice. Do not use solvents. For maintenance proceed as follows:
NWA 1900 Adj-3200: press the two lateral buttons inwards and then remove the impeller chamber
(Fig. 8-9). Remove the rotor (Fig.10) and clean it or replace if necessary (Fig. 11). Replace the rotor and
re-assemble the impeller chamber until you hear the locking click.
NWA 5900-13300: rotate the impeller chamber, press the two lateral buttons inwards and remove the
impeller chamber (Fig. 12). Remove the rotor (Fig. 13). Take off the bushes using the rotor shaft (Fig. 14-
15). Clean all the parts or replace them if necessary (Fig. 16). Replace the back bush onto the rotor shaft
