Noise emission

The noise emission values determined according to EN 60745-1 are as follows:

The noise measurements were conducted using the band saw blades included in the delivery specification.
The stated values do not take any series variance into account and are not suitable for determining the immis-
sion sound power level, since this varies depending on the operating time, the machining operation concerned
and environmental factors. The immission sound power level can consequently be determined only in the indi-
vidual instance on the premises of the machine user.

Use according to intended purpose

The MAFELL portable band saw Z 5 Ec / Z 4 Ec is
intended exclusively for cutting operations on solid
timber and sheet materials, such as particle board,
core-boards and MDF boards, using teeth-hardened
saw blades.
The dimension of the saw blades used must lie within
the following range:
Length of saw blade Z 5 Ec - 1752 mm (69 in.) ±10 mm /
Z 4 Ec - 1592 mm
(62 17/64 in.) ±10 mm
Width of saw blade 6 - 8 mm (15/64 - 5/16 in.)
Max. thickness of 0,65 mm (1/32 in.)

with the machines and instructed as to the risks.
Repair work must be carried out by MAFELL author-
ized dealers or MAFELL customer service agencies.
