Macintosh
1. Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive and locate the
MADI-X8 Remote application.
2. Drag the MADI-X8 Remote application to the
Applications folder.
3. To run MADI-X8 Remote, open the Applications
folder and double click the MADI-X8 Remote icon.
• To uninstall MADI-X8 Remote simply drag the
application to the trash.
The MADI-X8 Remote requires Java Version 5 or above and Apple Computer's Bonjour Service Discovery
Application to be running on your computer.
• Suitable versions of Java and Bonjour are included in OS X 10.5 and above for Macintosh.
• For Windows installations, a suitable Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and the Bonjour application can be
installed by the installer application. Different versions of Java and Bonjour may already be present on your
computer; please refer to the FAQ pages at
* Detailed instructions for installation and use of the MADI-X8 Remote will be found in the MADI-X8 User
Guide included on the MADI-X8 CD or available for download from
Windows
1. Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive and locate the
MADI-X8 Setup application. Double click this file
to run the MADI-X8 Remote installer.
2. Follow the instructions in the installer application.
3. The installer will place a shortcut on the Desktop;
double click this shortcut to run MADI-X8 Remote.
• The MADI-X8 Remote may be uninstalled by
running the Remove MADI-X8 application located
in the MADI-X8 folder.
