Operation
Front press switch operation: (Vacancy Mode = Manual ON,
Occupancy Mode = Automatic ON) When the sensor is set to vacancy
mode, the front press switch must be pressed to turn the lighting ON.
When the switch is pressed to turn the lighting OFF, the lights will
remain OFF until the switch is pressed again. When the sensor is
set to occupancy mode, the lighting will turn ON automatically when
motion is sensed. When the switch is pressed to turn the lighting
OFF, the lights will remain OFF until the switch is pressed again.
If the front switch is pressed to turn the lighting ON in either mode,
the lights will stay ON with motion until the sensor times out with
no occupancy. WS2000 sensors will resume auto-on operation in
occupancy mode after there is no activity for 30 minutes, or when
the front switch is pressed again.
The occupancy/vacancy selection switch is located behind the button
cover on the front of WS2000 sensors. (See control illustrations).
NOTE: (Placing the switch in the OFF position will turn the lights
OFF regardless of occupancy.)
To test the sensor and verify proper installation, a shortened time
delay can be used. Follow the instructions below.
WS series sensors:
1. Turn the TIME delay setting to minimum (fully counter-clockwise).
(See control illustrations).
2. Step out of the field of view of the sensor (the motion sensing LED
indicator will stop flashing). After 30 seconds the lights should turn off.
3. Re-enter the field of view of the sensor. The LED will flash and the
lights will turn on. Verify the LED continues to flash with motion in
the desired field of view.
4. Manually set the timeout delay as described below.

Time Delay Setting
WS2000 series: Initially factory set to 15 minutes.
WS1000 series: Initially factory set to 10 minutes.
Remove wall plate and button cover on the front of the sensor. Adjust
TIME delay control to desired setting using a small screwdriver.
Minimum setting (30 sec) is fully counter-clockwise, maximum setting
(30 min) is fully clockwise. Replace button cover and wall plate.
NOTE: WS1000 series: 6 seconds to 20 minutes.
Daylight Control Setting (WS2000 sensors only, keeps lighting off
if a sufficient amount of natural light is available. Disabled from the
factory)
1. Verify the desired amount of natural light (without lights on) is
present when making this adjustment.
2. Press and hold the front press switch for 5 seconds (LED will flash
twice), release the switch and step away from sensor.
3. The LED will flash for 30 seconds while the sensor reads the light
level of the room.
4. At the end of the adjustment period the LED will stop flashing and
the sensor will return to normal operation with the daylight setting
saved.
NOTE: WS2000 sensors can be reset to factory default
settings by pressing and holding the front press switch for 10
seconds. The LED will flash 3 times. This will disable the
daylight control settings.
