IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Check for damaged parts and repair or replace
before further use.
• Use only recommended accessories. Consult
the "Parts List" in this manual for recommended
accessories. The use of improper accessories may
cause risk of injury to persons.
• Disconnect power cord before servicing.
• Never leave the tool running unattended.
• Make sure this tool has been properly grounded.
• Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches
invite accidents.
For UG511 only:
• Plug into only NEMA 5-15R outlet.
• Do not modify plug provided. If it will not fit the
outlet, have the proper outlet installed by a qualified
electrician.
• Only use 14 gauge or thicker 3-wire extension
cords (no longer than 50 feet) that have 3-prong
grounding plugs and 3-pole receptacles that accept
the tool's plug.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn cord
immediately.
For UG512 only:
• Battery acid is hazardous. Do not attempt to open
battery. If acid should come in contact with eyes,
flush eyes with water for 10 minutes and seek
medical attention.
• Do not immerse battery in liquid. Liquid may cause
a short circuit.
• Do not short terminals of battery. A short circuit
could cause an explosion or fire.
• Do not expose battery to fire. Fire can cause battery
to explode.
Failure to observe these warnings could result in
severe injury or death.

UG5 Cable Lubrication System
Cable lubricant is slippery. Do not
stand or walk in spilled lubricant.
Wear nonskid safety shoes.
Failure to observe this precaution
may result in injury.
• Use only new lube or lube free of contaminants.
DO NOT USE LUBE WITH BEADS OR SIMILAR
MATERIALS!
• Do not allow suction pipe to contact ground or
other dirty surfaces.
Allowing foreign material such as beads, dirt, stones,
gravel, metal parts, wire stripping, etc. to enter
the suction pipe may damage the pump, motor, or
applicators.
Note: Keep all decals clean and legible, and replace
when necessary.
