Ergonomic and collapsible bed rail 1,40 m, for COMPACT beds

Read the entire instruction before assembling and installing this product.
If you sell or give away this product, make sure you give this instruction to the new owner.
Make sure that no parts are missing before fitting the rail (see parts list).
This bed rail complies with BS 7972:2001+A1:2009 - Made in China - Designed in Spain.
WARNING
1-The bedguard should not be used for children under the age of 18 months or when the child is over the age of 5 years. This
bed rail is used only when the child is able to climb in and out of bed unaided.
2-The bedguard should not be used as a substitute for a a cot, as it cannot provide the same level of safety as a cot.
3-Suitable for use with beds of the following sizes: minimum 80x190 cm and maximum: 140x200 cm. and mattress with a
thickness of between 15 to 30 cm.
4- Once installed, make sure the bed rail is correctly fitted and is secure.
5-The bedguard should not be used on a sleeping surface that is more than 600 mm from the floor. Never use on a bunk bed,
a child's bed or any other bed hat does not correspond to the present instructions.
6-To avoid risk of injury, carefully respect the present instructions when assembling, installing and using this bed rail.
7-Do not leave the child unattended while fitting or dismantling this product; the child should always be under an adult's supervision.
8-It should be checked periodically that the bed rail is always properly fitted and secure in place, and the locking mechanism on
the bedrail are securely fixed. The bedguard should be periodically checked for its general condition with particular reference
to the security of any locking mechanism and/or hinges that are used on the product.
9-Keep away from fire.
10-Do not use accessories that have not been approved by JANÉ. Additional and replacement parts should be obtained only from
the manufacturer.
11-The bedguard should not be used unless the fixings are in place and securely attached to both the bed and/or the mattress
and the bedguard.
12-This bed rail is suitable for all types of bed bases.
The images in the photographs in the step-by-step assembly guide may have a design that is different from the model you have
purchased.
Make sure that the box contains all the parts before starting to assemble the bed rail.
PARTS - See the diagram on page 2 and check that you have:
2 upper A bars
2 lower B bars
2 collapsible folding C bars with 3 connection points for other bars (see diagram 3 on page 2)
2 D bars for the central interior fabric part with 2 connector pins on the ends
2 chamfered E bars that form the stabiliser foot
Pocket with manual and 2 screws to fasten the stabiliser foot
ASSEMBLY – See the diagrams on pages 2 and 3 if necessary
1. Two arched A bars that should be joined to:
2. Two L-shaped B bars
3. Two folding C bars that are fitted with the collapsible system. The B, D and E bars are joined to this C bar at the points
shown in diagram 3 on page 2.
4. Two D bars that are joined together in the middle. Then they are joined to the C bar.
5. Two E bars that are joined together by the central plastic connection part. Then they are joined to the C bar.
6. Join each of the arched A bars to the B bars.
7. First join one end and then fit the cover on over the rail.
8. Slide the cover towards one of the ends so you can slot the other end in.
9. After joining the four bars together, smooth the material out so it covers the whole rail completely.
10. Fasten the side zips of the cover so the material fits snugly.
11. Join the folding C bars fitted with the collapsible mechanisms to the two connection points to join them with the A+B bar.
12. Then fasten the Velcro strip on each side of the rail from the back to the front. Make sure that the Velcro fasteners are
on the front part of the rail so the child cannot tamper with them.
13. Join the two D bars together in the middle. Then slide the bar into the inner tunnel of the cover and join the ends to
the folding C bar.
14. The D bar should be inserted into the cover or material of the rail before joining it to the C bar.
15. After sliding it into the cover it is joined to the C bar using the 2 connector pins on the ends.
16. The E bar is joined together by the central part that is fitted with the plastic mechanism.
17. And then it is joined to the C bar by the plastic part.
18. This bar forms the stabiliser foot that goes just below the mattress and support the rail vertically.
19. Fasten the screws found inside the pocket to each side of the stabiliser foot to lock the corner.
