4. Battery Installation
• Remove the cover of the battery compartment by loosening the plastic screw at the bottom of the timer.
• Install 4 x AA alkaline batteries respecting the polarity.
• An
icon appears on the LCD display when the batteries are low and should be replaced.
5. Detachable Electronics
The electronics of your GWT can be removed from the valve section for ease in programming. To do so, press the
black buttons located on each side of the timer and remove the body. When programming is complete, simply slide
the timer body back over the valve section until both buttons snap into place.
NOTE: When the body is detached, the valve remains closed.
6. Quick Start Program
1. TIME: Press PGM once and then press HR, MIN and DAY to enter the current time.
2. START: Press PGM again and then HR, MIN to enter watering start time.
3. DAYS: Press DAY to move the first desired weekday. Press ON/OFF when the desired day is flashing. Press
DAY again to move to the next desired day and press ON/OFF again. Repeat when desired.
4. DURATION: Press PGM again and then HR and MIN to set the duration of the watering cycle.
5. ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS: Repeat steps 2 to 4 and press PGM to move to each program number.
6. When finished, press the PGM button repeatedly until PGM ON and TIME appear on the display.

7. Use
Normal Mode
In Normal Mode, the clock is running, indicated by the flashing
colon on the display.
PGM ON indicates that the program is activated and will open
at the appropriate time. The numbers across the bottom (1 and
3) indicate the programs the timer will execute. MO indicates what day today is.
Setting the Time
Press PGM once to enter Time Setting Mode.
The time setting mode indicator will flash to indicate that the
time and day are ready to be adjusted.
Press HR, MIN and DAY to set the current hour, minute and day respectively.
Press PGM after setting the time to enter the Program Setting Mode.
Programming the Timer
NOTE: If you do not press a key for 15 seconds, the timer will
automatically return to the Normal Mode.
