3. Unpacking and Setup

This chapter provides unpacking and setup information for the Switch.

3.1 Package Contents

Unpack the package and check all the items carefully. If any item contained is
damaged or missing, please contact your local dealer as soon as possible. Also,
keep the box and packing materials in case you need to ship the unit in the future.
The package should contain the following items:
 1 x NetMaster G16/24 Switch

1 x power cord
 4 x Rubber footpads for Desk-mount
 1 x Rack-mount kit for installing the switch in a 19-inch rack
 1 x Quick Start Guide (English, Italian and French)
 1 x Warranty Card
 1 x WEEE Disclaimer

3.2 Setup

The setup of the Switch can be performed using the following steps:
 The surface must support at least 5 kg.
 The power outlet should be within 1.82 meters (6 feet) of the device.

Visually inspect the power cord and see that it is secured fully to the AC
power connector.
 Make sure that there is proper heat dissipation from and adequate
ventilation around the Switch. Do not place heavy objects on the Switch.
