1. Safety Instructions and Notes
• Please read these safety and operating instructions before putting the camera into operation.
• Keep the manual in a safe place for later reference.
• Never operate the camera outside of the specifications as this may prevent the camera functioning.
• Pay attention to safety when laying the connection cable and ensure that the cable is not subjected to heavy loads
or damage and that no moisture can get in.
• Protect your camera from contamination with water and humidity to prevent it from permanent damage.
Never switch the camera on when it gets wet. Have it checked at an authorized service center in this case.
• To disconnect the power cord of the 30VAC cameras, pull it out by the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
• Never open the device.
The warranty becomes void if repairs are undertaken by unauthorized persons.
• Maintenance and repair have to be carried out only by authorized service centers.
• Operate the camera only at a temperature range of -0°C to +50°C and at a humidity of max. 85%.
• Contact your local dealer in case of malfunction.
• The camera is equipped with an automatic gain control (AGC) which increases the sensitivity at low light levels.
Noisy pictures at these conditions are quite normal.
• Pictures including bright spotlights will cause perhaps vertical lines (smear) or soft edges (blooming) on the
monitor display. This happens most probably in automatic shutter mode (ESC).
This is not a defect but an effect caused by the CCD sensor.
• Be sure to put a silica-gel bag into the housing to avoid humidity due to temperature variance between inner and
outside of housing
• Use only a mild detergent to clean the housing.
Never use dilution or gasoline for this can cause permanent damage to the surface.
ATTENTION: The fastening screws (10) may be completely tightened only then if the accurate position
of the camera is adjusted. If the camera housing on the mount bracket is moved, after the fixing
screws are firm, leakage in the housing can develop.
The cameras should never:
• be operated beyond the technical specifications. This can lead to destruction.
• pointed with open iris towards the sun. (This can damage the sensor).
NOTE: This is a class A digital device. This digital device can cause harmful interference in a residential
area; in this case the user may be required to take appropriate corrective action at his/her own
expense.
