7. While holding the barbed end of
the extension tube, push the smooth
end of it into the hole of the one gal-
lon lid marked "SUCTION." Push it
through the lid until barbed end is
nearly flush with the raised boss
marked "BYPASS."

8. Using a twisting motion, insert the
tapered end of the suction tube into
the smooth end of the extension tube-
until it is hand-tight.
9. Snap this assembly onto an opened,
one gallon container of paint or stain.
As you press and secure it, use a rub-
ber mallet and tap the lid down onto
the rim of the paint can until it seals
securely.
10. Attach the other ends of the
bypass/suction hose assembly to the
"BYPASS" boss and the "SUCTION"
hose barb, respectively. Secure the
bypass hose with the hose clamp (see
Figure 8).
11. Plug in the unit and begin spraying
the same way as instructed above,
keeping the paint can close enough to

you to allow a little slack in the tub-
ing. This will keep the paint can from
being upended.
Cleanup
1. Remove gun body from paint can-
ister.
2. Empty any remaining paint back
into paint canister.

3. Using water or appropriate sol-
vent, clean paint canister (see
Figure 9).
4. Remove spray tip from gun body.
Remove swirl valve and clean both
items with water or the appropri-
ate cleaning solvent as recom-
mended by paint manufacturer
(see Figure 10).
