5.2 Operation
Operation principle
The first steam released through the combi-steamer door passes through the labyrinth
filter located on the front wall of the condensation hood.
The operation principle consists in metal (aluminium) condenser through which the
sucked steam is passed.
Temperature difference between steam (hot) and aluminium surface (cold) causes steam
condensation and collection by the internal trough under the condenser, which is then
removed through the hose connected to the drain.
Then on the back wall of the condensation hood there is the spiral pipe connected to the
combi-steamer extraction connection. That pipe is always in the state of slight negative
pressure (during the hood operation) and collects vapours from the combi-steamer.
The condensation hood is equipped with the system of automatic humidity detection in
order to adjust the motor speed, and therefore the suction force.
Before the first use
•
The device should be thoroughly cleaned before the first use. Follow instructions
in section 6 "Cleaning and maintenance".
Device start-up
•
Connect the device to the main switch.
•
Start the condensation hood when required. It operates at the lowest speed after
activation. Humidity is removed through the outlet on the combi-steamer back wall.
•
Humidity (e.g. after door opening) is detected by the automatic detection system
sensor and the suction force is properly adjusted to absorb as much steam as
possible.
•
When the device will not be used anymore it should be turned off with use of main
switch.
