• This appliance is only intended for cooking
and baking. It may not be used for other
purposes, such as heating.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Battery
Insert an AA battery (not included) into the
igniter on the back of the appliance. Unscrew
the cap on the igniter and insert the battery.
Make sure you insert it with the correct polar-
ity. Then screw the cap back onto the igniter.

Test igniter operation by pressing the button
on the front of the device. You will hear the ig-
nition spark arcing across the gap.
Gas connection
The Patio Cooker is set to work on butane,
propane or natural gas. The identification
plate on the back of the appliance shows the
type of gas that you should use.
There is a gas connection at the rear of the
appliance with a G1/2" (M) gland and a 22
mm nut. Depending on the country, an addi-
tional coupling may be included with the de-
vice. If not, use a coupling suitable for your
country, connected to the G1/2" (M) thread-
ed connector. Remove the protective cap
from the pipe before connecting the gas
hose. Take care to avoid dirt getting into the
gas pipe when removing the protective cap.
That could damage the tap.

PROPANE AND BUTANE
CONNECTION
The gas hose must be connected according
to the instructions from the gas hose man-
ufacturer and in compliance with the appli-
cable standards in your country. The rubber
hose must be visible and easily accessible
throughout its length.

Observe the operating and safety instructions
(e.g. date of expiry, etc.), as specified by the
gas hose manufacturer.
You can use one of the following to connect
the Patio Cooker:
• A flexible metal hose, complying with EN
14 800
• An elastomer hose, complying with NBN D
04 002
The flexible gas hose should not be longer
than 1.5 metres.
Butane and propane pressure regulators must
comply with EN 12 864, with working pres-
sure 28 mbar for butane and 37 mbar for pro-
pane.
NATURAL GAS CONNECTION
In the case of a natural gas connection or an
indoor connection to this appliance, it must
comply with the latest regulations in your
country and be installed by a recognized in-
staller. The appliance may only be used in a
sufficiently ventilated room.
Each burner is equipped with a thermocou-
ple protection, which interrupts the supply of
gas to the burners if the flame goes out un-
intentionally.
Any modification to the device that changes
its type from that at purchase and any inter-
vention that requires opening the internal gas
system may only be implemented by quali-
fied personnel.
