Guide rails on KFT 500 stand model
Steel guide rails are supplied with these units as standard. The fastening holes are off-centre. This allows two
different installation possibilities:
Position I
(installed at the factory)
for large burrs
for work pieces greater than 4.5 mm thickness
Guide rails are available in high-quality plastic for particularly sensitive materials (special accessory).

Stop screw with lock nut
The stop screw in the motor holder can be used as a sensitive adjustment screw for the milling depth. The lock
nut prevents the adjustment screw from coming loose.
4.
Work piece pushing direction
Push the work piece along in the direction of the arrow on the unit's body on the unit (conventional milling). The
feed speed can be adapted to the respective cut size and the material being worked.
4.1
Speed setting
The drive motor speed is steplessly adjustable via an adjustment wheel and is between 2.500 and 23.500 rpm.
Important factors for setting the speed are:
The cut size – width and height
1)
The work piece's feed speed.
2)
3)
as a function of the material strength and material workability
Due to these various factors, no guideline value for the speed setting can be provided by the manufacturer.
However, the operator will very quickly determine his own experience-based values while using the unit and will
thereby achieve optimum results.

Position II
for work pieces 1.0 - 4.5 mm thickness
For this, unscrew the guide rails, rotate laterally 180°
and screw on again.
