Clamping length of the milling
cutter
5.0 Adjusting the milling depth
-
Releasing the clamping lever makes the motor holder movable. The required cut depth can be set
via the scale.
Tighten the clamping lever.
-
The unit is ready for operation.
-
5.1 Stop screw with lock nut
The stop screw in the motor holder can be used as:
a) A stop for the "small standard cut" that is mainly required e.g. 0.5 mm. Following adjustment for a
larger cut, it is possible to reset quickly back to the standard cut,
- by releasing the clamping lever and swivelling against the stop screw,
- tightening the stop screw.
b) If the use described in a) does not apply, the stop screw can be used as a sensitive adjustment screw
for the cutting depth. The lock nut prevents the adjustment screw from coming loose.
6.0 Workpiece pushing direction
In the case of model KFT 250, the workpiece is pushed in the direction of the arrow cast into the unit's
body towards the milling cutter (conventional milling).
In the case of model KFH 150, the unit is guided along the workpiece in the direction of the arrow. The
feed speed can be adapted to the respective cut size and the material being worked.
