4.3 Storing
Between use store the machine well cleaned and well oiled in a dry and
clean place.
5. Macine-specific instructions

5.1 Intended use

This type of machine is intended exclusively for use on horses, for fine
clipping (e.g. also for clipping the cow's udder) and as completion to
shearing machines with mains supply connection. For clipping the
winter coat use a shearing machine with mains supply connection.

5.2 Fitting the clipper blades

REMOVE THE BATTERY BLOCK FIRST!
A set of clipper blades consists of a lower blade and an upper blade.
!
For clipping the ground surfaces have to rest against each other.
The clipper blades are fitted as follows:
a) Loosen the adjusting nut of the stressing system and remove the
two old clipper blades.
b) Place the new upper blade on the guide pins of the clipper head.
Place the new lower blade on the guide bolts of the clipper head.
c) Now tighten both clipper blades by the screw, spring and adjusting
nut of the stressing system.

5.3 Correct setting with the adjusting nut

Before putting into operation make adjustments as follows:
Before clipping:
• With the machine switched on loosen the adjusting nut until the
clipper blades run easily and quickly without fluttering making a bright
sound.
• Then tighten the adjusting nut a full turn. Now the clipper blades are
correctly set. Oil the blades!
During clipping:
• When the blades cease clipping adequately the adjusting nut should be
tightened a further _ (half) turn. If this adjustment does not produce
the desired result the clipper blades should be resharpened.
• Do not tighten the adjusting nut too hard in order to avoid unnecessary
frictional heat.
