Safety instructions

Notes for planning, installation, operation and
maintenance
Importance of this document:
Carefully read and follow the instructions before
starting work on the product.
Always pass the instructions on to the current
system operator and save them for later use.
Target groups:
Work on the product may only be carried out by
experienced professionals qualified for sanitary
and heating installations.
Work on electrical components may only be
carried out by experienced professionals qualified
for electrical installations.
Warnings:
Take note of and comply with the warnings.
Non-compliance with the warnings can lead to
injuries or damage!

result in severe and/or fatal injuries.
Caution. Indicates dangers that can
result in injuries or health risks.
Attention. Indicates dangers that can
result in damage to the system or
malfunctions.
General safety instructions:
Warning. Risk of injury. When working on
powered product components, turn off the voltage
supply and prevent it from being switched on
again.
Caution. National standards and regulations for
water treatment systems, as well as for accident
prevention, are to be given priority and must be
followed.

equipment must be worn at all times when
work is being carried out on the product.
Attention. Malfunction. The installation location
must be a closed-off, dry and frost-free room
that cannot be flooded.

A specialist planner must check and adapt
them based on local conditions as necessary.
Intended use:
The Reflex Fillguard is an electrical water meter
with integrated overflow control for make-up
systems. Only use Reflex Fillguard in conjunction
with Reflex Fillsoft (softener or deionisation) or
with similar ion exchangers. By measuring the
flow rate and the electrical conductivity of the
medium, the Reflex Fillguard monitors the
function and residual capacity of the ion exchanger.
If the measurement values are incorrect, an error
message will be issued.
The system must only be operated using the
following media:
- Non-corrosive water.
- Water containing no aggressive chemicals.
- Non-poisonous water.
The influx of atmospheric oxygen must be
minimised reliably in the entire system.
Any other use is considered improper and will
lead to the exclusion of liability and void the
guarantee.
Maintenance:
The operator individually defines the
maintenance intervals based on the national
regulations and under consideration of the
actual operating conditions.
Disposal:
Observe the local regulations for recycling or
waste disposal. The product may not be disposed
of with normal household refuse and must always
be disposed of in the correct way.
Liability:
No guarantee or liability in cases of:
- Non-compliance with the instructions.
- Incorrect installation and/or operation.
- Installation and/or operation of a faulty product.
- Independent modification of the product.
- Other incorrect operation.
