Four 5—30 VDC input wires are provided to control the load relay. The inputs may be used in combination or individually, depending on
the needs of the application. See the WIRING section for wiring information.

Control Inputs:

Control ON (Blue wire) – This input is intended for occupancy sensor input.
• Applying 5—30 VDC closes the relay in Auto ON Mode.
• Remove the voltage and the relay opens if no other input is holding it closed.
Hold ON (Orange wire, BZ-250/BZ-250-347 only) – This input is intended for timer or panel input.
• Applying 5—30 VDC closes the relay in Auto ON Mode.
• Remove the voltage and the relay opens if no other input is holding it closed.
• This overrides Control ON input.
Hold OFF (Brown wire, BZ-250/BZ-250-347 only) – This input is used for timer, panel, BAS or load shed input.
• Applying 5—30 VDC opens the relay.
• Remove the voltage and the relay can accept any other input.
• This overrides Control ON and Hold ON inputs.
Momentary Input:
Manual ON/OFF (Grey wire, BZ-250/BZ-250-347 only) – This input is for a low voltage momentary switch.
• Applying 5—30 VDC momentary input changes the relay to the opposite state.
• This overrides Control ON, Hold ON, and Hold OFF inputs.
The priority of the four control wires is as follows: Gray  Brown  Orange  Blue
1. Gray – The Manual On/Off wire has the highest priority. A momentary closure will always turn the relay On and Off and override
other wired inputs.
2. Brown – Hold Off will override Hold On and will open the BZ-250 relay and force the lights Off. The lights stay Off as long as the
switch is maintained.
3. Orange – Hold On will turn a light On if it was Off and override a motion sensor and keep the light On as long as the contact is
maintained.
4. Blue – Control On input is a maintained contact with the lowest priority.
If a sensor is occupied and the BZ-250 relay is closed the Brown wire (Hold-Off) will override the Blue wire (Sensor) and turn lights
Off. A momentary pulse to the Grey wire (Momentary) will toggle the relay from On to Off and turn out the lights.
If the lights are already Off and the BZ-250 relay is open, then a maintained voltage to the Orange wire will force the lights On but
not override a Hold-Off command. A momentary pulse to the Grey wire (Momentary) will toggle the relay from open to closed and
turn the lights On.
