Dear client,
Congratulations for having chosen a TAURUS brand product. Our products are

- Read these instructions completely before using the appliance.
-This manual is an integral part of the product. Keep it in a safe place for future
reference.
-Heed the warnings described below, failure to comply with these warnings
could cause accidents resulting in injury or damage.

Safety instructions

-This appliance can be used by
children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervisión or instructions
concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user main-
tenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
-The unit must be unplugged for as-
sembly, cleaning, removal or filling with
water.
-Only use the appliance with the speci-
fic electric connector provided.
-If the power cord is damaged, it should
be replaced by the manufacturer or by
your after-sales service shop or similar
qualified personnel to prevent possible
hazards.

- Connect the appliance to a base with an earth socket withstanding a minimum
of 10 amperes.
-The appliance's plug must fit into the mains socket properly. Do not alter the
plug. Do not use plug adaptors.
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.
-Never pull the cord or use it to hang up the appliance. Always unplug the
appliance by pulling the connection pin, and not the cord.
-While the appliance is on, do not touch it with wet hands or with wet or bare
feet.
- If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately disconnect the appliance
from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric shock.
-Do not expose to direct sunlight or place near heat sources.
-Place on a flat, firm shelf about 0.5 m or 1 m from the floor. -Never use on the
floor. Never tip. Secure the appliance to prevent it tipping over.
- Make sure the surface on which the appliance is installed/placed is moisture-
resistant.
-Do not place the steam outlet close to furniture, a wall, a TV or any other
appliance that could be damaged by the moisture. Excessive use or misuse of
the appliance could over-saturate the air humidity and cause water to conden-
se around the humidifier.
-Do not use the appliance when relative air humidity exceeds 55%. Using a
hygrometer, regularly check that the room's relative humidity does not exceed
this value. The most comfortable relative humidity is between 40%-60%.
-The recommended comfortable room temperature is from 18-26ºC. Use the
appliance within this range of temperatures. Below this temperature, the air in
the room cannot absorb more moisture and condensation is more likely.
- Do not cover the appliance while in use.
-If the humidifier is not to be used, unplug it from the mains.
- Never use the appliance on wet surfaces or outdoors.
- Do not use the appliance if the water tank is empty.
-Do not to allow water enter the main body of the appliance through the air
inlet. If water drips on the appliance, wipe off with a dry cloth.
- Ensure that the water tank cover is completely closed.
-If the humidifier is not to be used, unplug it from the mains.
- Do not remove the water tank while the appliance is operating
- Ensure that the appliance is unplugged before removing the water tank.
- Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch does not work.
- Do not fill the water tank with hot water.
- Always fill the tank with clean water. We recommend you use filtered or
distilled water. Do not use mineral water. NEVER POUR WATER IN THE
VAPORISATION CHAMBER.
- Do not add any type of aromatic essence or oil to the water. Essences and
oils will make the humidifier's components dirty and the water will not spray
correctly.
- Do not touch the transducer with your hands or with tools.
- Always unplug the appliance after use and before removing or installing parts
and before doing any maintenance or cleaning. Also unplug it in the case of a
power cut. When plugging in or unplugging the appliance, it must always be
turned off.
- This appliance is exclusively for household use, not for industrial use. Using it
for any purpose other than the one indicated could be dangerous
- Store this appliance out of the reach of children and/or those with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities or those unfamiliar with its use
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
- Taurus is not liable for damage caused by misuse of the appliance.
Operation and use
- Remove all elements from the inside or outside of the appliance used for
protection during transport or for sales promotions, such as paper or plastic
bags, plastic sheets, cardboard and stickers.
- Should you wish to use essences to fragrance the room, add them to the
aroma diffuser tank (C).
- Domestic humidifiers are ideal for obtaining a comfortable humidity environ-
ment between 40% and 60%, the range in which the risk of respiratory infection
is minimised.
- Humidifiers using ultrasound technology produce smaller water particles
which can more easily reach the lower respiratory tracts. This type of humidifier
is therefore suitable for the treatment of symptoms of the common cold and
laryngitis.
Their use is not recommended for persons with bronchial asthma and allergies.
- Separate the water tank from the base (Fig. 1).
- Turn it over and remove the cover from the bottom by turning it anticlockwise.
(Fig. 2).
- Fill it with cold tap water (18-22ºC) but do not fill completely. If you overfill, the
steam cannot come out.
- Replace the plug, aligning the notches on the tank with the grooves on the
cap, and turn it clockwise. Be sure that it is closed firmly.
- Turn the tank over and place it on its base, making sure it fits perfectly.
- When placing the water tank back on the base, some of the water it contains
enters the interior water tank; this is part of the normal operation of the applian-
ce and does not entail any risk.
- Plug the humidifier into the mains.
- Use the On/Off button to switch on the appliance
-The pilot light (F) comes on in blue.
-When the water level is low, the indicator (F) will flash red when it is comple-
tely empty it will remain permanently red.
- Unplug the humidifier from the mains and empty the water tank and internal
tank.
