1a Determine the degree of door opening required and find
dimensions "A" and "B" in the charts below.

1b Measure from door edge and
stick template on door. Mark
drilling holes.

above as needed.
1c Remove template, and drill holes where marked with a 1/8" drill
bit.
L SRT screws are used on metal doors.
Wood screws are used and recommended on wood doors.
Reduce installation torque if using SRT screws in wood.
1d Measure and determine your door's width.
Using a 5/32" hex wrench, adjust the
closer spring power. Use the table below to
determine number of turns required.
Turn counterclockwise for "-"; turn clockwise
for "+"
L These turns are recommended, but
may change due
to door weight
and environmental
conditions.
L Do not use power drill
to adjust spring force! It
may cause damage and
void the warranty.

install closer
onto door.

1f Install main arm to closer.
a. Use a wrench on the bottom closer shaft to turn the top
closer shaft approximately 20°. Hold the wrench at this
angle for the next step.
b. Place main arm onto the top closer shaft.
c. Install and tighten main arm screw.
L See page 5 for Optional Hold Open Arm installation and
adjustment.
1g Install PA Shoe to frame, then shoe the rod & shoe.
a. Attach PA shoe, and optional fifth hole spacer if needed, to
Top Door Edge
frame.
L Use the fifth hole spacer only if there is a space between
the frame and the PA shoe.
b. Fasten rod & shoe to PA shoe.
c. Install rod into the forearm of the main arm.
d. Preload main arm to be parallel with frame, tighten arm screw.
