RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK: The light fixture and telescopic pole will conduct electricity. Always use extreme caution to avoid contact with electrical
wiring, as electrical shock may cause severe injury or death.
WARNING:
This lamp can cause serious skin burn and eye inflammation from shortwave ultraviolet radiation if outer envelope of the lamp is broken or
punctured. Do not use where people will remain for more than a few minutes unless adequate shielding or other safety precautions are used. Lamps
that will automatically extinguish when the outer envelope is broken or punctured are commercially available. This lamp complies with USA Federal
Standard 21 CFR 1040.30 and Canada Standard SOR/80381.
WARNING:
RISK OF BURN: Lighted lamp is HOT! Use extreme caution when changing bulb. Do not touch the light fixture during use or for a minimum of 10 minutes
after use.
Lamp rupture may cause injury, fire or property damage: Turn off lamp at least once for 15 minutes every week. Failure to comply increases the risk of
rupture. Never operate this fixture if the lens is scratched, broken or missing.
Lamp contains mercury. Manage in accordance with disposal laws. See www.lamprecycle.org.
Federal OSHA regulations require the operator to have knowledge of all regulations that apply to the use of this product and the employer should
provide training.
1. The user must read and understand all labels attached to the light before using.
2. Wear safety glasses and gloves when handling the bulbs.
3. Never use excessive force when installing lamp. Lamp may shatter and could cause injury if broken.
4. Lighted lamp is HOT. Keep the fixture away from all flammable materials.
5. Never look directly into bulb.
6. Keep light at least 16 feet away from pools, spas or standing water.
7. Under wet or damp conditions use GFCI protected circuits only. Do not submerse.
8. Use only outdoor-rated extension cords that have a three-prong grounding plug and use only matching receptacles that accepts the plug.
9. Do not use bulb beyond rated hours because risk of lamp rupture increases.
10. When using in windy conditions, place lights so the wind is at the back of the fixture and set brake. Support with sand bags.
11. When transporting the light in a vehicle, put brake on platform wheel so unit will not move.
12. Never use bulb larger than what the fixture is rated for.
13. When servicing, use only Bull Dog replacement parts.
1. For Models P11000W and P14000W, plug the cord into any power source (15 amps or greater 120-volt 60 Hz). If using an extension cord for either
model, make sure it is rated for outdoor use, has three-prong ground and is 12-gauge.
2. When you turn the light on, the ballast (located inside metal housing) produces a humming noise. This noise will diminish as the bulb becomes fully
energized (about 5 minutes).
3. If power to the light is interrupted, it takes about 20 minutes to fully re-energize the bulb. You can speed up the process by turning the switch off for
10 minutes before turning power back on.
4. To adjust the light head, simply point fixture in desired location. WARNING: If fixture has been on, allow fixture to cool a minimum of 10 minutes
before adjusting it.
5. Adjust mast height by using winch. CAUTION: Stay clear of light fixture(s) when lowering.
6. This unit has a safety shut-off switch installed which will shut down the lamps if tipped beyond 45 degrees in any direction. When returned to an upright
position the lamps will return to full power in 10-15 minutes.
