USING THE CHARGER FOR THE FIRST TIME
•
Connect the crocodile clips to a 12 V lead-acid battery, or connect the mains plug to
a mains supply socket. Take great care over correct polarity (red = positive / black =
negative).
•
The screen initially displays "ROBBE PP Fun", followed by "NO BATTERY", if no batte-
ry is connected.
•
Connect the charge lead to the OUTPUT sockets with correct polarity (red = positive /
black = negative).
•
Connect the battery to be charged to the charge lead with correct polarity. The screen
briefly displays the message "READY": the charger is ready for use, and enters trickle
charge mode, i.e. the battery is charged at around 80 mA. The screen displays the bat-
tery voltage. The flashing letter 'R' at the right-hand edge of the screen is the status
indicator, which is now 'Ready'.

WORKING DISPLAY
During a charge or discharge process this display keeps the user informed of all the essen-
tial data. The data is spread over several screen displays; pressing the 'SELECT' button
in capacity. The status display at the right-hand margin of the screen, C (charge), flashes.
