− Do not in any case place the sandwich maker in the dish-
washer. It would be destroyed as a result.
− Discontinue using the sandwich maker if the sandwich
maker exhibits cracks, breaks or is deformed. In this case,
contact our customer service center.

Checking the sandwich maker and product contents
1. Take the sandwich maker out of the packaging and check whether the sand-
wich maker or the individual parts exhibit damages. If this is the case, do not
use the sandwich maker. Contact the manufacturer at the service address
specified on the warranty card.
2. Check to make sure that the delivery is complete (see fig. A).

Tip:
Odor or smoke may be produced during first use. This is no
cause for concern. Make sure that there is adequate ventilation,
e.g. by opening a window.
Before first use, you should clean the sandwich maker first to remove any dust
as well as packaging and production residue.
Then heat the sandwich maker up without food and clean it again after it has
cooled off.
1. Clean the sandwich maker as described in the chapter "Cleaning".
2. Wind the mains cord with the power plug
3. Place the sandwich maker on a level, heat-resistant surface.
4. Insert the power plug in a properly installed socket and let the sandwich
maker heat up for approx. 10 minutes.
