6. Carefully open the fine needle valve on the CO
same time. (Picture 2, bubble counter) Start with approx. 10 – 15 bubbles / minute.
7. Remove the vent plug from the first (top) capacity hole (Picture 3).
8. Then adjust the quantity of CO
above the hole. The gas now collects inside the reactor and is diffused into the water flowing through. The water enriched with
CO
flows back into the aquarium through the bottom strainer cap.

9. The Dupla CO
permanent test reacts according to the CO
2
10. If there is a change in colour to green-yellow after only running the CO
the quantity of CO
until the CO
2
side. This should not be under 3 CH.
11. If the CO
permanent test is still blue one day later, the capacity of the reactor needs to be increased. To do this, close the 1st

capacity hole with the vent plug and open the 2nd one.
12. Adjust the addition of CO
hole and open the 3rd one. You can continue doing this until you reach the 6th capacity hole (Picture 3). As soon as you have
found the right diffusion capacity, the CO
value in the aquarium and make adjustments to the reactor or CO
number of bubbles).
Cleaning: Please ensure the cascade inside the reactor is kept clean. Cleaning is easy. Remove the bottom strainer cap and pull
the cascade out from the bottom. Clean the inside of the reactor with the enclosed brush. A separate fine brush is enclosed to
clean the bubble counter.
