When bucking on a slope, always stand on
the uphill side of the log (Fig. 25).

cutting through, release the cutting
pressure near the end of the cut without
relaxing the grip on the chain saw handles.
Don't allow the chain to contact the
ground. After completing the cut, wait for
the saw chain to stop before you move the
chain saw. Always stop the motor before
moving from tree to tree.

Cleaning

After each use, clean debris from the chain and
guide bar with a soft brush. WIpe the chain saw
surface with a clean cloth moistened with a
mild soap solution.

Remove the side cover, and then use a soft
brush to remove debris from the guide bar, saw
chain, sprocket and side cover.
•
Always clean out wood chips, saw dust, and dirt
from the guide bar groove when replacing the
saw chain.
