WARNING:
Do not expose, operate, or charge the unit
in the rain, in wet conditions, or on wet surfaces. Moisture
is a shock hazard.
CHARGING THE UNIT
NOTE: The unit is not shipped fully charged.
NOTE: Lithium-ion batteries will not develop a memory and may be
charged at any time.
NOTE: While in use, lithium-ion batteries provide power with
minimal power fade. When the battery is fully discharged, it will
immediately cut power to the unit and require charging.
For maximum run time, fully charge the unit before each use.
1. Plug the charger into an appropriate power outlet.
2. Insert the charger pin into the charging port (Fig. 1). The LED
should turn red (Fig. 1). If it does not:
• Make sure the charger is fully plugged into the power outlet.
• Make sure the charger pin is fully inserted into the charging port.
• Make sure the power outlet is functioning by testing it with
another electrical device.
3. To maximize the life of the battery, the charger and the LED will
both turn off when charging is complete. When the unit is fully
charged, disconnect the charger pin from the charging port and
unplug the charger from the power outlet.
OPERATING THE UNIT
NOTE: Engine starting procedures are specific to each gas-
powered product. Refer to the Operator's Manual for your
electric-start-capable gas-powered product for complete
starting instructions.

When directed to insert the electric start accessory:
1. Insert the drive into the electric start port on the gas-powered
product (Fig. 2).
2. Position the indentations on the unit onto the tabs on the gas-
powered product (Fig. 3). Make sure the indentations and tabs
are interlocked and flush.
3. Press the unit firmly against the gas-powered product and
hold it securely in place.

When directed to run the electric start accessory:
1. Squeeze the trigger (Fig. 3).
DO NOT squeeze the trigger for longer than four (4) seconds at
a time.
Run the electric start accessory for as many intervals as are
indicated in the gas-powered product starting instructions.
NOTE: This unit is for intermittent use only. Allow the unit to cool
for 120 seconds between each starting attempt.
OPERATION
NOTE: Only use this accessory with electric-start-capable gas-
powered products.
NOTE: Do not use the unit while it is charging. Doing so may
damage the battery or other components.
