Read entire Operator's Manual before
you attempt to assemble or operate
your new aerator.

Lever

Engine
Refer to the FLEX™ Power Base Operator's Manual
for details regarding all engine-related controls and
features.
Drive Control Lever
This lever propels the entire machine forward.
Tray
The tray acts as a frame securing the tine assembly
to the attachment chassis, and provides a platform
to securely carry weight. No more than 90 lb. of
weight should be added to the tray.

Unpack Aerator
WARNING! This attachment weighs
53 lb. and requires two people to lift it.
WARNING! Spoons are sharp. Keep
hands and feet away from spoons.

Open carton completely by cutting each
corner from top to bottom.

Aerator Spoon Assembly
Removes plugs of soil up to 2 1/2 in. deep, allowing
penetration of water and nutrients for a healthier
lawn. It also helps reduce soil compacting.

Remove the FLEX™ Aerator Attachment,
literature, any of the protective coverings
on the aerator spoons, and any cardboard
inserts included with the aerator.
Set-Up
This unit is fully assembled and requires no setup.
Starting and Stopping the Engine
Start and stop the engine on the FLEX™ Power Base
in accordance with the Operator's Manual included
with that machine.
Tray
Connecting to the FLEX™ Power Base
NOTE: All references to the left or right side are from
the operator's position. Any exceptions will be noted.
1.
Roll the FLEX™ Power Base over to the
aerator attachment with the kickstand UP.
See Figure 4-2.
2.
Roll the FLEX™ Power Base forward and tip
it up, engaging the top part of the aerator
attachment with the handle mount provided
on the FLEX™ Power Base (1 of Figure 4-3).
