Nach der Installation ist ein Funktionstest durchzuführen:
1. Wasserversorgung am GROHE Sense Guard absperren.
2. Von dem geschlossenen Rohreitungssystem Wasser
entnehmen.
3. Anhand der App prüfen, ob der Wasserdruck fällt.
Bleibt der Wasserdruck konstant ist die Installation
fehlgeschlagen. Durchflussrichtung prüfen.
Zur Inbetriebnahme den Anweisungen der App folgen.

Safety information

Avoid danger due to damaged connection cables. In
the case of damage, the connection cable must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service
department or an equally qualified person.
• Installation may only be performed in frost-free rooms.
• Installation must be carried out by a professional installer.
• The plug-in power supply is only suitable for indoor use.
• The plug-in connectors must not be directly or indirectly
sprayed with water when cleaning.
• The voltage supply must be able to be switched on/off
separately.
• Leakage may occur in the event of fire, causing the GROHE
Sense Guard to shut off the water supply. If a sprinkler
system is connected to the main water supply, it will no
longer function. If you disconnect GROHE Sense Guard
from the power supply, you deactivate the leakage
protection, but at the same time ensure that the GROHE
Sense Guard will no longer cut off the water supply.
• If the mobile terminal is outside a WLAN or mobile network,
then the user will not be notified of possible warnings.
• GROHE takes all necessary measures to ensure safe and
correct use. In the event of a malicious attack by third
parties, GROHE advises to install the latest firmware and/or
disconnect the device from the power supply grid until you
receive further information from GROHE.
• Use only original spare parts and accessories. The use
of other parts will result in voiding the warranty and the
CE marking, and could cause injury.

Applications
The GROHE Sense Guard is only permitted to be installed in
potable water installations for detached houses and flats that
have separate water supply lines (observe EN 806). The
device detects leakages in the pipe system and at points of
discharge, and shuts off the water supply if there is a leak. The
valve stays open in the event of power failure.
The GROHE Sense Guard meets the requirements according
to DVGW VP 638.
The GROHE Sense Guard checks water consumption and
permanently stores data about water pressure, flow rate and
temperature in an online storage (cloud). Configurations can
be altered and service functions carried out. In order to be able
to use these functions, the GROHE Sense Guard must be
connected to a wireless local area network (WLAN).
The device only functions with a WLAN router with
Internet access (2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.11b/g/n).
Only WLAN channels 1–11 can be used.
GROHE Sense Guard requires a WLAN interface with the
GROHE ONDUS app for communication.

Interference sources
The transmitter/receiver unit operates in the ISM frequency
band (2.4 GHz). Installation in proximity to devices with the
same frequency band (e.g. WLAN devices, HF components,
etc. [observe manufacturer documentation!]) should be
avoided.
Obstructions/barriers
Wireless reception can be impaired and interrupted under
unfavourable surrounding conditions, in buildings/rooms with
reinforced concrete walls, steel and iron frames or in proximity
to obstacles (e.g. furniture) made of metal. Where necessary,
a WLAN repeater must be connected to the main router in
order to increase the range of the radio signal.
