2. Warnings
This appliance can be used by children
aged 8 years and over if they have been
given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Cleaning
and maintenance carried out by the user
must not be made by children under the
age of 8 without supervision. Keep the ap-
pliance and related cable out of reach of
children under the age of 8.
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
Never place the appliance or its parts in wa-
ter. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
If the electrical cord of this appliance is
damaged, it must be replaced by an autho-
rized customer service centre since spe-
cialized tools are necessary.
Do not touch the appliance hot parts imme-
diately after use. Burn hazard.
Allow the appliance to cool before touching
it, moving it or carrying out maintenance
operations.
Improper use may cause injury.
Do not leave the appliance unattended
while operating.
Do not open kettle lid (1) while water is
boiling.
Burn hazard. In case the kettle (9) is over-
filled, hot water may come out.
The surface of the heating element is sub-
ject to residual heat after use.
