Operation
Operation
Weighing
1. Place the scales on an even, firm, and dry surface.
2. Place the weighing bowl on the weighing surface.
3. Turn the dial such that the "0" is positioned exactly over the indicator arrow.
4. Put the substance to be weighed into the weighing bowl.
5. Read off the measured weight indicated by the arrow.
You can also weigh using a different container (tub, plate, etc.). In doing so,
the procedure is the same.
Taring (TARE function)
This function is practical – for example – when baking, if you wish to add another
ingredient to those you've already weighed.
1. Proceed as described under "Weighing".
2. After reading off the measured weight, turn the dial again such that the "0" is once
again positioned over the indicator arrow.
3. Put the new ingredient into the weighing bowl.
4. Read off the measured weight indicated by the arrow.
5. Repeat the process whenever you want to add more ingredients. The process can
be repeated as often as needed until the capacity limit (3 kg) is reached.
Cleaning
NOTE on material damage
Do not immerse the scales in water or other liquids.
Do not under any circumstances use harsh, scraping, or abrasive
cleaning agents or the like to clean the scales. If you do, the surface
could be scratched.
The scales and weighing bowl should be cleaned immediately after use, especially after
coming into contact with grease/fat, spices, vinegar, and other strongly seasoned and/
or coloured foodstuffs.
− Wipe down the scales as needed using a lightly dampened, soft cloth. Avoid
contact with citric acid.
− The weighing bowl can be cleaned by hand or in a dishwasher.
