Introduction
Many congratulations on the purchase of your Jensen Aqtive II
adjustable bed. We are sure that you will enjoy sleeping and relaxing
in this bed for many years to come. We recommend that you study this
handbook carefully before you start assembling and installing the bed.
Guarantee
A 5 year guarantee covers normal usage of the Jensen Aqtive II. The
receipt bearing the date of purchase is also your certificate of guarantee.
In the event of any faults or malfunctions, please contact the shop at
which you purchased the bed.
Child safety device
Press the red button on the back of the remote control to
activate the child safety device.
Solving malfunctions
If you are unable to adjust the bed, check the following:
- Whether the plug has been inserted correctly into the
socket and whether the power is actually being supplied
to the socket.
- Check whether the batteries are in the remote control and
whether a green lamp lights up when you press any button
on the remote control. Replace the batteries if they do not
work.
- If a red lamp lights up on the front of the remote control
when you press a button, press the red button on the back
of the remote control (childproof lock).
- If necessary, pull the plug out of the socket and repeat the
procedure.
- Whether the antenna cable is connected properly to the
motor.
Do not open the motor, the manual controls or the electronic
components yourself. The manufacturer accepts no liability
if this has been done by any unauthorised person. New
parts should be ordered from the manufacturer.
Strange noises
A mechanical and electrically adjustable bed generates
noise. In most instances, the amount of noise that the bed
makes depends on the acoustics of the room in which the
bed is situated.
Emergency function to return the bed to a horizontal
position
Press the 'down' button on the antenna unit.
Batteries are supplied together with the motor. In the event
of a power failure you can move the bed into a horizontal
position using the manual controls.
You must replace the batteries when this function has been
used.
Usage
The bed's lifting motors are not designed for continuous
usage. Avoid shortening the bed's operating life by ensur-
ing that the motors do not operate for longer than 2 minutes
during an 18 minute period. Any attempt to exceed this
degree of usage will reduce the life of the product and may
render the guarantee invalid.
The bed has been constructed in such a way that it can
bear a maximum weight of 150 kg, distributed
naturally across the entire surface of the bed between the
head end and the foot end. Any attempt to exceed this
degree of usage will damage the product and render the
guarantee invalid.
N.B.: Do not sit at the head or foot end when raised or
during adjustment.
