For more information, please refer to the general manual reference 5380, available on the web site
• CONFORMITY
- Our motors conform to standard EN/IEC 60034-1 , and therefore to the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC, which is demonstrated
by their CE marking
• RECEIPT
- Check the state of the motor. If the motor or even the packaging has been damaged, notify your haulage contractor (if required,
renovation cannot be undertaken under warranty).
- Check that the correct motor has been delivered (mounting arrangement, information on nameplate).
• STORAGE
- Store the equipment in clean and dry premises, protected from shocks, vibrations, temperature differences, and in an atmosphere
with a hygrometry below 50% AND A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN +5°C and +60°C.
- Do not remove the rotor blocking device (roller bearings).
- When storing for longer than six months, consult the manufacturer.
• BEFORE INSTALLATION
- When storing a motor for more than 6 months, check the insulation resistance of the windings (phase/ground R above 10 MΩ), and
proper operation of the bearings.
- Drain any condensation water.
- Check motor compatibility with its environment before installation and over its entire operating lifetime.
• MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
- Installation must be performed by qualified personnel.
- Install the motor in the same type of environment (Temperature, Relative humidity, Altitude) as specified in the order.
- Motor lifting: the lifting eyebolts are intended only for lifting the motor. (The motor must not be allowed to overturn).
- Mount the motor in its anticipated position, on a firm, level bed to prevent distortion and vibration.
- Ensure that the fixing screws (foot or flange) are tightened to the correct torque. The screw diameter must fit the fixing holes.
- Ensure that alignment of the mechanical shafts and mounting of the coupling or pulley are carried out correctly.
- Do not knock the shaft or the coupling when mounting, do not damage the seal, do not over-shoot the shoulder of the shaft.
- Check proper connection of the water lines on the motor's water inlet and outlet nozzles
- Check that the loads applied to the motor shaft (especially the belt tension) comply with the maximum values stated in our technical
catalogues.
- The condensation water drain holes should be at the bottom of the motor ; dot not install the motor in a position other than the
one stated in the order. When there is no risk to the motor protection, the drain plugs for the condensation water can be removed.
- Protected motors (IP 23) must be installed under cover.
• ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
- Cables must be connected by qualified personnel, with the power off.
- Select the protection system and the feed cables (the drop in voltage during the starting phase must be less than 3%) according to
the details on the identification plate.
- Tighten the nuts of the terminals, connectors and supply cables to the torque (N.m) indicated below :
