1 General
Crypton for inLab blanks are blanks made from a
cobalt-chromium alloy. The blanks are delivered partially
sintered, processed to enlarged custom designs by the
CAD/CAM system inLab MC XL and then densely
sintered. The densely sintered custom objects are
finished and veneered as usual.
2 Indications
Crypton for inLab blanks are intended for the production
of custom dental frameworks that can be polished,
veneered or overpressed after milling and sintering.
–
Anterior or posterior crown frameworks (copings)
–
Frameworks for up to 4-unit anterior or posterior
bridges with a maximum of 2 pontics
–
Conical and telescope crowns
Contraindications
Do not use in known sensitivity to one or several metals
contained in the alloy.
Warnings
Crypton for inLab contains cobalt and chromium. Overall
maximum workplace concentrations (MAK) for certain
compounds of these metals have been defined under
occupational health regulations.
For grinding of dental work from pre-sintered CoCr
material we recommend the wet grinding method using
grinding and polishing box (e. g. Ergoret Aqua/Reitel).
Alternatively, you can work "dry" using a grinding and
polishing box with hand openings, provided an effective
Class H vacuum extraction is in place. Exert particular
caution when cleaning the box (wear personal protective
equipment).
Always use local dust removal equipment when finishing
the objects with rotary instruments. In addition, we
recommend the use of oral and facial protective gear
(overall or lab coat, dust mask with P3 particle filter,
gloves, safety goggles).
If a known sensitivity to any of the ingredients exists,
this alloy should not be delivered or processed.
–
Read and follow the MSDS!
–
Avoid activities where dust might be generated.
–
Do not allow slurry to dry.
–
If dust is present, wear personal protective
The benefits of Crypton for inLab are:
–
High processing speed,

High process safety (thanks to wet processing).
equipment! (Overall or lab coat, dust mask with
P3 particle filter, gloves, safety goggles.)
–
Do not allow to enter the waste water stream or
general waste: Follow the "Recommendations for
cleaning and recycling when working with Crypton".
For dental use only.
Keep under lock and out of the reach of children.
Precautions
Use a separate water tank when grinding Crypton for
inLab. This is to avoid cross-contamination and to allow
the separate recycling of Crypton particles. Clean the
inLab MC XL milling chamber before changing materials.
Follow the Instructions for Use of the device. Rinse all
restorations (including those not made from Crypton)
under running water to avoid contamination.
Divide the grinding of Maxi L blanks into at least two
steps of approximately equal duration to reduce the
fracture risk.
Adverse effects
Reactions that may occur are allergic reactions against
metals contained in the alloy or paraesthesia caused by
electro chemical reactions.
Systemic side effects caused by metals contained in the
alloy have been reported in isolated cases.
Interactions
Avoid occlusal and proximal contacts with other metals
or alloys.
Avoid inhaling dust and vapours while in contact with
dental alloys.
Use suitable vacuum appliances for protection against
dust and vapours.
Use a facemask and respiratory protection.
