Thank you for choosing Tecline TECLIGHT
diving light.
Read the following instructions and follow them when using your
equipment. In this way, it will work properly for many years of
use. If you have questions, check our website www.teclinediving.

Purpose
The Tecline
TECLIGHT
diving light is intended for under water use.
You can select one of 3 light modes:
1. Communication Mode
2. Combined Mode
(Communication + Video) (3900 lm, beam
angle: 6° + 120°)
3. Video Mode
(2600 lm, beam angle: 120°)
When using the lamp on the surface - use only Communication
Mode. It will prevent the LEDs from overheating and save energy.
To avoid overheating and damage to the lamp on the surface, use
the video mode only when checking the lamp (max. 1 minute).
Before using the lamp, check its sealing, i.e. check if all parts
sealed with o-rings are properly tightened. Make sure the con-
necting cable is properly tightened. O-rings must not be dirty.
Any damage, e.g. scratches, cracks, cuts may cause leakage, and
consequently damage the lamp.
Turning on / off / changing operating modes:
Use the main switch button, located on the back of the lamp head,
to turn it on.
The same button is also used to change light modes.
To activate the lamp, connect the battery to the head and then
briefly press the main switch (located on the lamp head).
The lamp is turned off by holding the switch for more than 3
seconds.
Changing the operating mode:
Press the main switch once = Communication Mode
Press the main switch again = Combined Mode (Communication
+ Video)
Press the main switch again = Video Mode
This sequence will be repeated when you press the main switch
again.
Turning off the lamp:
Keep the main switch pressed until the lamp is turned off.
Burn time will be the longest in the Communication Mode. It will
be reduced in Video Mode and in Combined Mode (Communication
+ Video).
In Video Mode, the battery will discharge faster.
(1300 lm, beam angle: 6°)
The Tecline
TECLIGHT
lamp is equipped with a discharge control
system. It will issue a warning to protect the lamp from excessive
battery discharge. This will allow you to safely and optimally
manage the lamp use and to ensure optimal burn time.
Low battery warning system
The lamp will signal that the battery is discharged to a level of
10% by switching several times between Communication / Video
Mode. After that, the lamp will switch to Communication Mode
with reduced power, so you will save energy to safely end the
dive.
In this situation, the battery needs charging. Continued use of the
flashlight in the Safe Mode is possible, but remember that the
lamp will only work for about 60 minutes.
Mounting
Tecline
TECLIGHT
battery canister can be mounted on the harness.
To do so, we recommend to lead the waist belt through the
canister loop and secure it with an additional buckle.
In a sidemount configuration mounting system depends on the
buoyancy device and the available attachment points.
In order to protect the cable from sharp bends, make sure you use
the lamp with an optional 90° angle connector when diving in the
sidemount configuration.
Hold the lamp head by using the integrated "goodman" handle,
so the lamp head rests on the back of your left hand. You will be
able to use both hands during your dive. Be sure to adjust the
goodman handle to your hand to optimize the grip.
The lamp handle is equipped with a "DPV Ring". It allows you
to temporarily hold the lamp head with your right thumb while
diving with your diving scooter. In this way you can easily mani-
pulate your equipment (e.g. check your SPG with the left hand ).
The small hole on the right side of the goodman handle allows
you to attach a fixed bolt snap. It serves to stow the lamp when
it is turned off.
The loop on the cable, just behind the lamp's head allows to stow
the lamp temporarily (using a double-ender), when the lamp is
turned on.
Transport
Tecline
TECLIGHT
lamp is entirely prepared for air transport
(together with the battery). The lamp should be carried in hand
luggage with the head disconnected from the battery. The
flashlight must be protected from bumps and shocks.
Before travelling by air, please read the carrier's instructions for
the Li-Ion battery transport.
The carriage of battery-powered electrical equipment is regulated
by specific directives. Please read the local regulations before
