INSTRUCTIONS
The use of the One-Step Carpet Trimmer is a little different than the Roberts
10-616 conventional carpet trimmer, and requires a little getting used to. Once
you get the feel for for the GT One-Step, you will save time on the job and we all
know, TIME IS MONEY!
TIPS
1. The trimmer has 3 adjustment setting
positions on the blade holder. When using the
10-621GT Trimmer, the blade holder should be
adjusted out to the widest jaw opening. Using
the 10-621GT with the blade holder in the
narrower settings can cause the tucking wheel
to bind up and not tuck the carpet correctly.
2. Use the spacers provided under the Golden
Touch plate and blade holder to adjust for the
thickness of the carpet. The number of spacers
used above the blade holder and under the
Golden Touch plate is determined by the
thickness of the carpet. The more spacers
above the blade holder, the shorter the nap of
the carpet to be trimmed.
3. As with any trimmer, there should always be at least one spacer between the
Golden Touch plate and the blade holder. This is the only way to keep the
blade holder tight and not cause premature wear to the dimples that lock the
blade holder in place.
4. Although it is not necessary, using CLEAR SPRAY SILICONE (NOT WD40) on
the blade guard will make the use of 10-621GT easier, and will also allow the
blades to last longer.

Unlike conventional wall trimmers, the 10-621GT
must be started differently in order to utilize the
tucking feature of the One-Step.
Trim approximately 10" to 12" of carpet by hand,
leaving the flap attached to the main carpet piece.
Leave the trimmed piece attached and tuck the
carpet into the gully. Position the 10-621GT in the
Pre-tuck
cut carpet and pull the carpet flap toward you to
carpet
create tension on the blade. This will keep the
carpet from bunching in the blade slot as you
begin using the One-Step. You will only need to
keep extra tension on the blade until a sufficient
amount of the carpet is tucked into the gulley.
