Inlet Air Options
The inlet port may be connected to the filtered engine air or
to the Haldex KN19040 air filter.
The Haldex inlet check valve SN3711AJ offers a low cost
method to reduce the nominal unloader horsepower (as
compared to a clutch).
The inlet check valve can also be used to reduce oil pas-
sage. It should be used on vehicles with a history of exces-
sive oil consumption due to higher than normal inlet or
crankcase vacuum, crankcase pressure, etc.
Check for Restriction
If the discharge line is reused and is clogged, dented or
kinked, the replacement compressor cannot perform to
maximum capacity. By using the KN17500 the installer will
be able to check the remaining length for restrictions.
