IVI. WARRANTY CERTIFICATE
The Calorex Electric Water Heater has been carefully designed and manufactured with optimal
materials, under strict quality control. If you have any question or problem with the heater, ple-
ase contact the Calorex Service Center at 800 225 6739.
Calentadores de América, S.A. de C.V. (hereinafter Calentadores de América) warrants this wa-
ter heater for a three (3) year period, and the electrical parts for (1) years, in home use, against
any malfunction attributable to a manufacturing defect, for all its parts (except the electrical
parts, which have a one year warranty), against any malfunction attributable to a manufacturing
defect (understood as the quality of its materials or manufacturing workmanship). The warranty
becomes void due to improper use, installation outside of the regulation and/or standards in
force, installation outside of the indications expressed in the Installation, Maintenance and Ope-
ration Manual, repairs made by persons other than the staff authorized by
Calentadores de América, failing to use legitimate factory replacement parts, or installation in
areas with water conditions similar to those described below:
The following are considered conditions of improper use: use of excessively acidic water (pH
less than 6.5), excessively alkaline water (pH more than 8.4), or with excess salts or dissolved or
suspended solids (more than 500 ppm), for which the anode must be checked every 2 years;
failure to do so voids the warranty.
The hardness of the water is another factor that affects the life of your heater and water instal-
lation. The use of water with a hardness of more than 180 ppm voids the warranty.
Calentadores de América reserves the right to settle whether the cause of the malfunction was
improper use or a defective installation. If there is a factory defect, the warranty obligation is to
leave it in normal operating conditions, within a period of not more than thirty (30) days from the
date the claim is presented.
Another condition of improper use of your heater is failure to follow the operating instructions
included in the Installation, Maintenance and Operation Manual, and trying to make the heater
operate with an installation outside of the manufacturer's indications.
Operating the heater without water inside is considered within this indication.
This warranty does not cover malfunctions caused by not having the appropriate shelter. To
ensure optimal operation and durability, your heater must be adequately protected from rain,
wind, dust, saline environments, corrosive environments, etc.
If the heater does not have this protection, the warranty is void.
Show the technician this certified warranty, including the seal of the distributor.
