Assembly / start
Check whether all the parts have been delivered by
referring to the overview on the folder's left-hand fold-out
page.
1. Place the bed on its side.
2. Attach the legs to the corner attachments in the base unit
(see illus. 1).
3. Attach the end board using the four screws which
are already fitted to the bed. Also fit and tighten the two
additional screws supplied (see illustration 2).
In the case of beds which are 210 cm long, use the
separate attachment points and the 4 bolts and 2 screws
supplied. The motor must be fitted under the bed. Under
the head end is a lead in a 'square tube'. Pull the lead
outwards and attach it to the electricity cable supplied and
the transformer connected to that.
Then place the bed on its feet.
4. Attach the side bracket using 2 screws approx. 80 cm
from the head end, measured on the inside of the base unit
(see illus. 3). If you are attaching two base units together
to make a double bed, no side brackets must be fitted in
between the beds.
5. Insert two batteries into the remote control
(AAA batteries).
6. Lay the mattress and the mattress topper on the bed.
7. Insert the plug into the socket.
Read the 'Using the remote control' text before you start
using the bed.
Activating the remote control
Insert the batteries (2 x AAA) into the remote control.

Solving malfunctions
If you cannot adjust the bed, you should check the
following:
Check whether the lamp is green by briefly pressing the
button on the control unit.
Never open motors, electronic components or the remote
control yourself. The manufacturer will not accept any
liability if the motors, electronic components or the remote
control are opened by someone other than uncertified
maintenance staff. New components and parts must be
purchased from the manufacturer.
Strange noises
A mechanical and electrically adjustable bed generates
noise. In most instances, the amount of noise that the bed
makes depends on the acoustics of the room in which
the bed is situated. In the case of the massage function,
hard floors may cause resonance. This can be reduced by
placing a rug or another noise or vibration-resistant material
under the legs or wheels.
Emergency function to return the bed to a horizontal
position
In the event of a power failure you can lower the bed by
pressing the red button on the control unit and by keeping
it pressed until it emits an audible signal. However, in
order for this to work, two 9 volt batteries must have been
installed on the drive box. If you use this function, you must
replace the batteries in order to be sure that the function
will operate again should another power cut occur.
Usage
The bed's lifting motors are not designed for continuous
usage. Avoid shortening the bed's operating life by
ensuring that the motors do not operate for longer than 2
minutes during an 18 minute period. Any attempt to exceed
this degree of usage will reduce the life of the product and
may render the guarantee invalid.
The bed has been constructed in such a way that it can
bear a maximum weight of 150 kg, distributed
naturally across the entire surface of the bed between the
head end and the foot end. Any attempt to exceed this
degree of usage will damage the product and render the
guarantee invalid.
N.B.: Do not sit at the head or foot end when raised or
during adjustment.
