Important! Gas insert model GE 50/GE 30 may only be
used in conjunction with the Buschbeck garden grill
chimneys listed. Burner chamber size 540 x 340 mm.
For outdoor use only.
Please read these operating instructions carefully before
using the garden grill model GE 50/GE 30. The garden grill gas
insert GE 50/GE 30 is a gas grill operated with environment-
friendly liquid gas (propane, butane or a mixture).
For this purpose, use the commonly commercially available
5 or 11 kg camping gas cylinders. The gas grill model GE
50/GE 30 is used with an operating pressure of 28-30/37
or 50 mbar (pressure regulator max. 1.5 kg/h).
Temperature setting device
The gas grill model GE 50/GE 30 is equipped with an
infi nitely adjustable temperature setting device. Using
this temperature setting device, the grill temperature can
be controlled as desired, i.e. starting with high heat so
that the pores of the meat close rapidly and continuing
grilling at a lower heat so that the meat remains tender
and juicy. This temperature control proves particularly
convenient when the foods to be grilled are different,
since fi sh and poultry, for example, require a lower
temperature than chops or sausages. Furthermore, gas
consumption is reduced, since grilling is always performed
at the optimum temperature.

Setting up the unit
Take the gas burner (1) and fi x the mounting apparatus
(2) into the gas supply pipe.
To do so, push the mounting apparatus (2) into the gas
supply pipe and fasten tight with the accompanying
screws.
Place the burner cover profi les (4) on the mounts (3).
Place the cross cover profi les (5) on the previous cover
profi les (4).
Hang the screen (6) on the screen mountings (7) by
means of the holes (8).
Push the entire burner into the combustion space of the
garden barbecue chimney.
Push the fat drip pan (9) into the angled mounts under
the combustion pipes.
Push the grill (10) into the combustion area of the
garden barbecue chimney so that the grill lies directly
on the angled mounts of the burner.
Connecting the unit to the gas cylinder
The connection to the gas cylinder is to be made in the
following manner:
On delivery, the gas supply hose is to be connected to
the temperature setting device. Once the temperature
setting device has been fi rmly connected to the device,
ensure that there is no damage to the gas supply hose
or the cylinder valve thread gasket. If the gasket is
damaged, do not use any additional gasket!
Connect the gas line to the pressure controller by turning
anticlockwise using a 17 mm open-jaw wrench. Screw
the retainer nut of the pressure controller on to the
cylinder valve thread by hand by turning anticlockwise.
Do not use any tools for this purpose; otherwise the
cylinder valve gasket may be damaged.
Using the unit for the fi rst time
• Adjust the temperature setting device to the closed
position (marking)
• Open the cylinder valve by turning anticlockwise and
check that all connections are gastight under operating
pressure using a leak detector or a product that
generates foam (soap foam). A gastight seal is
guaranteed if no bubbles form.
• A seal test using a naked fl ame is prohibited!
• Once you are convinced that all the connection
