Other suggestions:
– Check that all members of the household can hear the acoustic alarms.
– It is very important that the detector chosen corresponds to the type of
the gas used in the house (methane) and it is installed in a suitable
place.
Otherwise it is possible that the presence of gas will not be recogni-
sed until after the lowest explosive limit has been reached. If both
methane gas and LPG are used in your home , one detector for each
type of gas should be installed.
– Detectors are of course designed to recognise specific gases (methane).
– On power supplying, await two minutes before testing the device.
Do not carry out any tests by opening the gas cocks.
NOTE
Products should be sold in their original packaging. When this is not the case, the retailer
or/and the installer is obliged to follow, as well as communicate to the user, the instructions of
use which are supplied with the product . After opening the packaging, check that the appliance
is undamaged. Do not use the appliance if there is any doubt, but contact a qualified technician.
Even before unpacking, the appliance should be handled with care and be stored in a dry place
at temperatures of not less than –5°C and not higher than +40°C.
Also note:
• Before carrying out any work on the appliance, the main supply switch shall be turned off, by
cutting the power off.
• Special care should be taken in the preparation of the cable terminals to be inserted into the
appliance terminals so as to maintain sufficient isolation distance between them.
• When tightening the terminal screws special care should be taken to avoid overheating which
could start a fire or damage the cables.
• Unless specified otherwise, this product is for use in dry, dust-free areas. Suitable products
should be used in any other conditions.
• Switches should be installed onto a board, container or fitting that ensures the appropriate IP
degree of protection for the sourrounding conditions and their use, according to the National
rules and regulations in force for electrical appliances.
• Safety, efficiency and the quality marks of the product are only guaranteed when it is used with
original plates, frames and containers.
• Install products and accessories according to CEI standards in force for electrical systems.
• Conformity to the UNI-CEI 70028 standard and relative certification are ONLY for the devices
and NOT for Alarm Control Panels.

ATTENTION - IMPORTANT
Lire attentivement les instructions ci-dessous afin de savoir employer au
mieux le détecteur de gaz. L'installateur est prié de remettre ce livret à
l'usager en l'invitant à prendre connaissance de son contenu afin de
faciliter l'utilisation correcte de l'appareil. Le détecteur de fuites de gaz
constitue une protection auxiliaire qui s'ajoute à d'autres dispositifs de
protection existants et ne dispense en aucun cas de l'observation rigou-
reuse des précautions suivies normalement.
