Optimum location for the antenna
Before connecting the antenna you should determine the best
location for optimum reception. Installation close to a window
usually offers the best results. DVB-T receivers often have a sig-
nal strength indicator (level meter), which can be used to locate
the best position for the antenna.
When you have found the optimum location for the antenna,
it can be set up in three different positions - lying on its side,
standing on its base or suspended on a wall.
The antenna is designed to ensure that all three installation op-
tions provide equally good reception quality. Nevertheless, the
best position can vary depending on the place of installation. It

Connecting the Digital Flat 2.5
You can use the Digital Flat 2.5 with or without an amplifier. An
amplifier should be connected in the majority of cases, as this
ensures optimum performance is achieved. Nevertheless, it may
be useful to connect the antenna directly under certain circum-
stances, without using an amplifier. One such circumstance is
if you are located in close proximity to the radio mast, as the
additional gain produced will result in a distorted signal.
must also be noted that digital terrestrial signals can be reflected
by various objects, and that this too can have an impact on the
reception quality and position. Please try different positions be-
fore installing the antenna in its final position.

objects or devices that can cause interference.
The base is mounted on the rear of the antenna and enables an
upright installation.
The base is mounted as follows:
1. Align the tabs on the base so that they are in line with the
recesses at the rear of the antenna.
2. Now insert the tabs into the recesses and pull the base up
wards until it engages and secures the antenna in position.
Note: If you locate some stations that can only be received
without amplification, try unplugging the mains adapter of the
amplifier, without actually disconnecting the amplifier. If your TV
is equipped with an integrated DVB-T tuner, you can connect the
Digital Flat 2.5 directly to the TV. Otherwise, you can connect the
Digital Flat 2.5 to a set-top box (DVB-T receiver).
