Temperature Sensor Installation (Telluride 4X4)
Tools needed:
2.0mm hex wrench
2.5mm hex wrench
Part required:
Temperature Sensor (Part #6521)
Sensor Mount (Part #6535)
Installation Steps:
1. Using a 2.5mm hex wrench, remove the motor mount screw and remove the motor/motor
plate from the chassis (A).
2. Insert the temperature sensor into the sensor mount (included) (B). Remove the paper
backing from the thermal pad and adhere the pad to the sensor mount (C).
3. Secure the temperature sensor to the motor with the included zip tie (D). Trim excess zip tie.
4. Reinstall the motor/motor plate and tighten the motor mount screw.
Note: Ensure proper gear mesh. Refer to the vehicle Owner's Manual or visit Traxxas.com/support
for detailed instructions.
5. Remove the receiver box cover and the wire cover. Route the temperature sensor wire along the chassis and into the
receiver box. Plug the gray connector into the V/T slot on the receiver (E).
Note: The red connector will only be used if your vehicle is equipped with a voltage sensor. If not used, coil the remaining wire inside
the receiver box.
6. Reinstall wire cover and receiver box cover.
Note: Ensure that the blue O-ring is properly seated in the groove around the receiver box. Apply grease to foam pads. Refer to the
vehicle Owner's Manual for detailed instructions on maintaining a watertight seal.
