5.1 INTERLOCKED SOCKETS TO BE USED
Use only ATEX-certified ADVANCE-GRP Series sockets suited for installation in Zone 21 with IP66 degree of protection.
5.2 MOBILE PLUG RING NUT
When unplugged, the cover ring nut must be screwed in all the way on the socket body. With plug inserted, the ring nut must be
screwed in all the way on the socket body.
5.3 INTERLOCKED SOCKET RING NUT
When unplugged, the cover of the interlocked socket must be kept fully screwed in.
5.4 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance is necessary in order to guarantee proper operation and preservation of the degree of protection of the
mobile plug.
1) Check that the gasket is intact every time you open the enclosure.
2) Check that the closing screws or the snap-on coupling device are all in place and well-tightened every time the enclosure is
closed.
3) Check the seal of the cable glands on a yearly basis.
4) Check for any damage to the enclosure on a yearly basis.
5) Make sure the screw terminals are tightened as indicated by the manufacturer.
6) In environments where combustible dust is present, the outer surface of the plug must be cleaned periodically, so as to prevent
the thickness of the deposited dust from exceeding 5 mm.
5.5 CHEMICAL ATTACK
The mobile plugs of the OPTIMA-EX Series are made using:

Thermoplastic alloy (PC-XILOXANE) for the handle, the plug body, the plug insert, the plug ring nut and the cable gland
ring nut;

Thermoplastic rubber SEBS H.T. for the cable gland seal gasket.

Thermoplastic rubber SEBS (16-32A), or silicone rubber (63A) for the ring nut seal gasket;
-
Silicone rubber for plug handle/body gasket.
The environment where the mobile plugs will be installed must be considered carefully in order to ascertain the compatibility of
these materials with the presence of chemical agents or corrosive atmospheres.
5.6 DISPOSAL
The product must be disposed of in compliance with national rules on the disposal and recycling of industrial waste.
