TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Bar and chain running
hot and smoking.
motor runs, but chain
is not rotating.
Motor runs, chain
rotates but does not
cut.
Chainsaw does not
start.
POSSIBLE
Check chain tension for
overtightened condition.
Chain oil tank empty.
Chain tension too tight.
Check guide bar and chain
assembly.
Check guide bar and chain for
damage.
Dull chain.
Chain on backwards.
Battery is not charged.
Switch is defective.
SOLUTION
Loosen the chain if it is too tight.
Refer to Adjusting the Chain Tension
earlier in this manual.
Check oil tank.
Refer to Chain Tension Guide earlier in this
manual.
Refer to Replacing the Bar and Chain
earlier in this manual.
Remove batery, after removing the battery
from chainsaw, take off the side cover
by removing the chain cover has been
removed, remove the bar and chain.
Before inserting the battery pack into the
unit with the bolt and chain removed. Clean
all the debris from the side of the saw. After
all is cleaned, insert battery and run the
chainsaw. If the sprocket is spining your
motor is OK. If the sprocket is not spinning
call customer service at 1-888-909-6757.
Sharpen chain.
Reverse direction of chain.
Place battery in to the charge and allow
charging up to 1 hour (2Ah) or 2 hours
(4Ah).
