INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CAUTION
Do not start the engine before and during the test, to avoid burns.
Always wear hand and eye protection
Make sure that the coolant is cold before starting the test.
LIST OF RADIATOR TESTER PARTS:

N°1 pressure test pump with gauge
N°1 Connecting hose for pump / caps with check valves
N°1 bayonet connector cap, Ø 56 mm
N°1 threaded cap, Ø 39 mm
N°1 coarse threaded cap, Ø 43 mm
N°1 fine threaded cap, Ø 43 mm
N°1 threaded cap, Ø 49 mm
N°1 threaded cap, Ø 59 mm
N°1 threaded cap, Ø 69 mm
Operating instructions:
• remove the radiator or expansion tank cap from the vehicle
• select the suitable test cap
• screw the test cap onto either the radiator or the expansion tank
• connect the hose to the pump by means of the quick coupling
• connect the hose to the test cap by means of the quick coupling
• operate the pumping element and let air into the system, within a range of 0.7 ÷ 1.0 bars (10 ÷ 15 psi).
TO AVOID DAMAGING THE SYSTEM, NEVER EXCEED A PRESSURE OF 2.4 BARS (35 PSI)
• If the system has not lost pressure within approximately 1 minute – that is, if the gauge pointer is still in the
starting position –, it means that it has no leaks.
Otherwise – that is, if some pressure is lost -, it means that the system has some leaks.
• When the operations have been completed, release pressure by pressing the button on the pump hose,
disconnect the cap from the quick coupling, and, finally, remove it from the radiator or expansion tank.
