How to synchronize multiple devices.

1. Connect all the devices required to be synchronised to the iQ 16 SCB USB sockets using only approved USB
cables. The devices may be connected to any of the USB sockets, in any order and any sequence.
2. Switch the iQ 16 SCB power-switch ON. The Charge light and Sync light will illuminate momentarily, and
then the Charge light will remain ON.
3. All the devices are now charging.
4. Connect the sync station to the host computer which contains the synchronizing software using an
approved Type A to Type B USB cable. In the case of iPad devices the synchronizing software is iTunes and the
host computer should be an Apple computer. Note: iTunes may only synchronize up to 7 devices at a time if
used on a Windows PC.
5. Upon connecting the iQ 16 SCB to the host computer, the sync station will automatically switch from
Charge Mode to Sync Mode and this will be signified by the illumination of the Sync light.
6. iTunes will then seek to identify all the connected devices and they should sequentially appear in the
iTunes window and commence synchronisation simultaneously. The screen on each device should reflect
"Synchronisation in Progress".
7. Upon completion of synchronisation the devices will revert to their standby screen.
8. Removing the USB cable from the host computer will return the iQ 16 SCB into Charge Mode and the
devices will automatically resume charging if needed.
Notes: Before attempting a synchronisation of an iPad with iTunes using the iQ 16 SCB, the iPad should be
registered separately first with iTunes following the instructions that came with the iPad.
