STOPPING ENGINE

1. Move throttle control handle to STOP or OFF position.
2. Turn off the engine switch.
3. Disconnect spark plug wire and ground against the engine to prevent unintended starting.
IMPORTANT: Your log splitter is shipped without engine oil. You MUST add oil before operating. Be
careful not to overfill.
WARNING: Read, understand, and follow all instructions and warnings on the machine
and in this manual before operating.
WARNING: Wear leather work gloves, safety shoes, ear protection, and safety glasses
when operating a log splitter. Ensure safe footing.
GAS AND OIL FILL-UP
Service the engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the engine manual packed with your log
splitter. Read instructions carefully.
WARNING: Use extreme care when handling gasoline. Gasoline is extremely
flammable and the vapors are explosive. Never fuel machine indoors or while the
engine is hot or running.
ADDING HYDRAULIC OIL
IMPORTANT: The Log Splitter is shipped without hydraulic oil you need to add oil before operating.
1. Add approximately 1.19 Gallon (4.5L) of hydraulic oil or until its 2/3rds from the top of the
2. Start engine and move the control valve handle forward to move the push plate.
3. Release the handle to return the push plate. Repeat the process 3 times.
4. Turn off the engine and recheck the hydraulic oil level.
5. Add hydraulic oil until its 2/3rds from the top of the tank.
6. The oil level should be in the right level range.
