Possible cause Solution
Put new batteries in
the device
Install the batteries
properly, following
the correct polarity
Make sure there
is no obstruction
prior to taking the
temperature.
Be careful not to
be in the axis of an
airflow, this could
cause interference
with the infrared
system.
Change the unit of
measure to Celsius.
