Further notes
1. The measured body temperature may differ from one ear to the other. We recom-
mend to measure the temperature always at the same ear.
2. If you hold the device in your hand for more than 3 minutes this may lead to wrong
measuring results for any subsequent measurements. You should therefore avoid
to hold the device in your hand for too long.
3. If your child is younger than 2 years or if you do not measure your own temperature
(e.g., the temperature of older persons) we recommend to take three measure-
ments at the same ear. If the readings differ from each other choose the highest
temperature.
4. Minor deviations in repeated measurements are permissible.
5. If an obviously too low temperature should be measured the reason for this may be
found in the position of the lens.
6. If the device indicates a temperature that is too high it should not be used for about
30 minutes.
7. This device is provided with an Anti Thermal Shock function in accordance with
EN 12470-5. This means that it works properly even in case of changes in ambien-
ce temperature (e.g, changes between rooms, changes between interior and exte-
rior temperature).
