Warnings

Keep top surface clean.

Do not immerse unit for cleaning.
◗ ◗
Do not modify ground power plug. Use only properly grounded outlets to

avoid shock hazard.
Use appropriate hand and eye protection when handling hazardous

chemicals. Gross weight of items placed on top of the hot plate should
not exceed 100 lbs. Use proper lifting techniques when transferring
vessels to and from the stirrer.
Personal injury or product damage may result if the stirrer is modified in

any way.
Do not modify the stirrer electrically or mechanically without Corning's

written approval.
Use only with heavy wall (min. 2.5 mm thick) vessels. If used with non-

the stir bar decoupling.
The power supply cord serves as disconnect from the power supply.

Preventative Maintenance

Disconnect the power by unplugging the unit before performing any

maintenance or service.
Always use a grounded power outlet.
◗ ◗
Clean spills promptly.
◗ ◗
DO NOT immerse the unit for cleaning.
◗ ◗
Look for damage to the power cord. If cord is damaged, replace it
◗ ◗
immediately.

Stirring

The PC-611 will not stir when the dial setting is turned to the "0" position.
To operate unit, turn the dial until the dial indicator lines up with the
desired dial setting.
