SETTING OPERATING MODE
There are four operating mode options:
• Automatic
• Twilight
• Forcing ON
• Semiautomatic
In order to select one option, press the front button P1 for 7 seconds,
until L1 blinks to indicate access to the programming menu. The led
colour identifies the current operating mode:
Operating mode
1. Automatic
2. Twilight
3. Forcing ON
4. Semiautomatic
To change the operating mode, press P1 briefly. The led will indicate the
new mode according to the sequence indicated in the table. Subsequen-
tly pressing P1 briefly allows scrolling all modes in a circular manner.
Exit from the programming menu occurs automatically due to time-out
after 7 seconds from the last time P1 was pressed thus adopting the
selected operating mode.
Automatic mode
• The load is actuated once the pyroelectric sensor detects the motion
of a body with temperature different from that of the scanned area and
the room light is below the threshold set through a special potentiome-
ter (Pt2 – clockwise rotation = increasing the twilight threshold).
• The output contact remains closed over a period of time set with the
relative potentiometer (Pt1 – clockwise rotation = increasing load ligh-
ting time). Any motion during timing as well as short pressures on the
front (P1) or external (terminal P) button makes the countdown restart.
The led lights-up to green at each motion detection.
Note: The load can be forced for 30 min by pressing the front (P1) or
external (terminal P) button for 2.5s; this operation may be useful for
example when cleaning the staircase or corridors without the lights
going suddenly off. During timing, the green led remains always off to
indicate this particular state. Long timing can be reversed by pressing
again the front (P1) or external (terminal P) button briefly.
Twilight mode
• The load is actuated when the room light drops below the threshold
set through Pt2 (clockwise rotation = increasing the twilight threshold)
• The output contact remains closed until the lighting returns above
the threshold.
• The led remains off
Note 1: the front and external buttons allow forcing the output on "ON"
over the period of time set on Pt1. Timing can be reversed by pressing
the button again briefly.
Note 2: during installation, pay attention to prevent the device from being
directly exposed to the light radiation of the controlled load. However, an
internal compensation system is provided to nullify any residual reflexes
that may impact the sensor.
Forcing ON mode
• The load remains actuated indefinitely
• The led remains off
Note: the front and external button are not active in this mode
Semiautomatic mode
• The load is actuated by pressing the front (P1) or external (terminal
P) button briefly
• The output contact remains closed over the period of
time set with the relative potentiometer (Pt1 - clockwise rotation = in-

• Any motion during timing, at which the green led lights up, or pressing
the button again briefly, restart the countdown.
NB. The load can be forced for 30 min by pressing the front (P1) or
external (terminal P) button for 2.5s; this operation may be useful for
example when cleaning the staircase or corridors without the lights
going suddenly off. During timing, the green led remains always off to
indicate this particular state. Long timing can be reversed by pressing
again the front (P1) or external (terminal P) button briefly.
OPERATING DESCRIPTION
When connecting the device to the power supply, the device remains
inactive for 20 seconds before becoming operative.
NB: in automatic or semiautomatic mode after the load is switched off
the detector is "masked" (it doesn't operate) for a period of 1 second in
order to avoid possible malfunctions due to the closeness between the
detector and the controlled lamp.
Do not install the device next to heat (convector) and light sources.
It is recommended likewise not to install the device near components
subject to heating (light-dimmer, relay, etc).
State of load display
If you need to display the state of the output contact, the device can be
set so that when the contact is closed, the red led L1 lights up.
Setting is made by pressing the front button P1 for 7 seconds when sup-
plying power until L1 blinks. At this point, wait for exit from the program-
ming menu due to time-out, after 7 seconds. The setting in question can
be reversed following the same procedure.
The led behaviour under different operating modes:
• Automatic
Led lit-up to red with the output enabled. Led lights-up to green at each
detection
• Twilight
Led lit-up to red with output enabled.
• Forcing ON
Led always lit-up to red
• Semiautomatic
Led lit-up to red with output enabled. The led lights-up to green at each
detection during timing.
CLIMATIC CONDITIONS
Temperature and reference relative humidity: 25 °C; RH 65%
Operating room temperature range: from 0 °C to + 35 °C
Maximum relative humidity: 90% to 35 °C
Maximum altitude: 2000 m a.s.l.

installations"
APPLICATION DIAGRAMS
The supply circuit (L-N) must be protected against overloads by high
breaking capacity fuse or MCB with nominal current not exceeding 10 A.
• Installation for controlling load from two detection points (Fig. 2)
• Installation for controlling load from two or more detection points and/
or from external electromechanical or touch buttons (Fig 3).
